Our Vision

Oceans cover 71% of the planet and are essential for life on Earth, but they are currently in danger. Recent reports show that fish are dropping in number and pollution is steadily increasing. This, however, can be turned around. Oceana promotes science-based measures to restore areas and species that are key for ocean life. It is well known that where fishery management has been established, incidental capture has been reduced, ecosystems have been protected and oceans have been recovered.

Underwater Operations

Marine life documentation is crucial during each expedition. In order to achieve this, our operations must be minimally invasive, limited to visual documentation only which is accomplished through diving, a submarine robot, and dredgers or small trawls to obtain biological samples. Since a few years ago, drones have also been included to obtain aerial footage.
